Chapter 01

A solid human and professional foundation

At 32, Mélissa Tatataa (Mélissa V. on official records) grew up in Marseille, a city she remains deeply attached to. Holding the French DEAES diploma, a state qualification in educational and social support, she worked for around fifteen years in the medical-social sector, supporting people with disabilities, people in precarious situations, people leaving detention and older adults. Those years gave her the listening skills, perspective and sense of care that now guide all her projects.

Chapter 02

From solo travel to content creation

After early trips with her family, she begins exploring on her own: England, Italy, Portugal, The Gambia, Ivory Coast, Togo and Ghana. A stay in Senegal changes everything: by sharing her experience, she sees a community emerge without any prior strategy.

Today a content creator and lifestyle influencer, she has 13,000 followers on Instagram and 36,000 on Snapchat (@melissatatataa). Her common thread is authenticity and closeness, which she documents through collaborations in Marseille and Paris as well as her daily life in West Africa.

Chapter 03

Settling in Accra

Without ever having planned it, she chooses to live in Accra to discover a different everyday life. She settles there with her own means and builds her place step by step. She regularly returns to France to be with her family and loved ones. On screen as in life, she shows the Africa she encounters, far from a showcase for wealthy expatriates.

Chapter 04

Building a business and supporting others

In Accra, she supports artists on media tours, including on platforms such as Hitz FM and MX24 TV, and runs her own businesses, among them an online fashion boutique. For her, entrepreneurship goes hand in hand with women's empowerment. She founded Madame Level Up, a coaching project that encourages personal independence and self-assertion among francophone women.

Chapter 05

International recognition

Her nomination in the “Inspiring Woman” category at the Only Woman Awards in Dakar honours the sharing of her real life and the positivity that comes with it. Her journey, lived day by day, is a source of inspiration for women in general: it shows that anything is possible with drive. The symbolism is strong, since her adventure began in Senegal.
